I can’t believe it’s Friday!

This week has been one of the hardest for my team and I in recent history.

Spring is almost here, and while some people are busy cleaning out the garage or organizing their homes for spring, my team thought it would be fun productive to organize our sites for the upcoming season.

As any good blogger knows, throughout the year sometimes things start to go wrong with your blog.

Maybe a plugin or two that you were using stopped working.

Maybe you’re STILL putting off that new WordPress update for fear of breaking your theme.

Maybe you got super busy around the holidays and let a few grammatical errors slide in some of your posts.

Whatever the problem, spring is the perfect time to write out your blogger-do-list and get your game in gear!

Here at D& G we are systematically working our way through all of our published and pending sites to fix any known bugs, revise the layouts of the sites that may look a little worse for wear and completely redo branding design on the sites that need it the most. (Check out PrettyasPie.com’s fancy new look for a great example.)

Old Pretty as pie Branding

Old PrettyasPie.com Branding

This was our old branding on Pretty as pie. Even though it was fun, pink, and feminine, the particular color of pink made the images feel weighty and a little dated, and the aspect ratio of the photo didn’t allow us to fully take advantage of our social media marketing strategy.

New PrettyasPie.com Branding

New PrettyasPie.com Branding

This is our new Branding for PrettyasPie.com. While it still utilizes the gold and pink theme, both colors have been revised to fit a more calm and neutral color palate that makes the site feel both modern and stylish.

Though it is a lot of effort to redo every photo on a site, the overall impact that the rebranding has had on our readership and even our morale has been overwhelmingly positive and well worth the time.

That being said, I’m young, I’m fun, and It’s Friday. Enough of this blogging talk, I need a drink!
