I just found out that my husband and I are going to be staying here in West Virginia for another 3 years and it’s put me in the Nesting mood this week!
I love Decorating, but when you know that you are only going to be in a place for a short time, you tend to not feel the need to paint, wallpaper, and really dig in roots.
Now that I know we’re going to be staying for a while, I’m looking to put together the beautiful hotel like bedroom retreat that my husband and I have always wanted and deserve!

6 low-cost ways to make your Bedroom feel like a Luxury Hotel
Coordinate vs. Match – Luxury hotel rooms always look well put together and unified throughout the room without using super matchy-matchy decor. Using a coordinating color scheme and similar patterns throughout the room’s furnishings, bedding, window treatments, and art can take a room straight from department store to personalized and chic.
Focus on it – Hotel rooms always feature the bed in the most prominent position, with the rest of the room seeming to radiate out from it. Designing your room with a similar large focal point will give your home a similar, relaxing look.
Tech Love – Luxury hotels are well known for having the latest and greatest technology in their rooms. Wall mount a large TV, integrate climate control with the room, put in a small mini fridge filled with your favorite brand of bottled water and pat yourself on the back for a job well done.
Make it Modern – One hallmark of luxury hotels is that they are updated with all of the most modern styles and amenities. Updating the color palate of the room and replacing the carpet with hardwood flooring are both relatively simple tasks to complete, but they are both updates that will do a ton to reinvigorate the style of the room.
